The electronic dance music industry is on the verge of welcoming a remarkable young talent. Thirteen-year-old DJ prodigy Dario Di Bona is preparing to unveil his debut single, “Jaded,” on March 21st, under the esteemed record label Tankfloor/WMG. This release marks the commencement of what is anticipated to be an extraordinary career.
Hailing from Padua, Italy, and raised in Geneva, Switzerland, Dario’s passion for electronic music was ignited at the age of four. His fascination with DJing began during a family vacation in Ibiza, where he was captivated by a live performance at a beach club. A subsequent inspiring experience in Courmayeur, Italy, further solidified his ambition, prompting him to request a mixer from his father that very day in pursuit of mastering the art.
By the age of seven, Dario made his performance debut at a beach club event in Italy, successfully energizing a crowd of 1,000 attendees. His career trajectory soared from that point onward. At just eight years old, he performed in Dubai and was featured in an interview with the renowned Italian DJ Albertino on Radio Deejay. That same year, he captivated an audience of 18,000 at a New Year’s Eve celebration in Venice, Italy, further establishing his presence in the industry with a cover feature in South America’s Rocking Talent magazine.
A brief video of his DJ set in Venice attracted over 2 million views on Instagram, and by the age of nine, he made a significant impact in Ibiza with a live DJ set on Ibiza Global Radio, generating an additional 1 million views on Instagram. During that summer, he also showcased his talent at the iconic Chezz Gerdi beach club in Formentera.
At the age of ten, Dario performed at a major beach club event attended by 10,000 people, followed by an impressive open-air festival in his hometown of Padua, where he energized 80,000 attendees in Prato della Valle, Europe’s largest square. The subsequent year saw him grace venues in Rome, Geneva, and Monte Carlo, delivering a heartfelt performance at Extra Extra, a legendary location where his parents first met.
