The track gained additional recognition through its feature in the 2011 film Fright Night and performances on popular television shows such as Glee and The Voice. In 2009, Hashemian embarked on a solo career, launching his project Backwards Forwards with the EP You Are Here in 2012, followed by the full-length album Still Life in 2014. These initial solo endeavors highlighted a more introspective and experimental dimension of his artistry.

In 2023, he unveiled Animation, followed by Face Shine in 2024, and Bliss in January 2025. His fourth solo album, Believe, was released on April 2, 2024, and is available on major platforms such as Apple Music and Qobuz. This album features 14 tracks, including “Comes And Goes,” “Feel,” and “It Is What It Is.”
